Embrace Opportunities to Slow Down- May and June 2023 Recap

With fencing jobs slowing down, a silver lining of more opportunities to experiment with my woodworking was on the agenda, while also getting a call from an old friend in the building industry asking for a helping hand on a few renovation jobs that were starting to overwhelm.

After I got a call to fix a fence downed due to a stray car, I did not know what to expect when I showed up to this repair job.

First time in a manual car maybe?

More tinkering in the garage due to a slow month of fencing, or photo taking. Either way I had a tough time trying to get the magnets to pull through the wood of the stand and the chopping board. Not 100% happy with how it turned out but this is a journey after all and that project taught me a whole lot. Was pleased to be asked to make a frame of reclaimed Jarrah for a friends painting that she then gifted to another dear friend.
